The American Red Cross said Tuesday they are facing a blood emergency.

Right now blood is being distributed to hospitals faster than donations are coming in. All eligible donors are urgently needed to give now to help replenish the blood supply.

There is a blood drive in Junction City on Thursday and Friday at the Municipal Building. The hours on Thursday are 11:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

You can call 1-800-Red Cross to make an appointment or you can do that at www.redcrossblood.org. Walk-in’s are welcome.
