A new event at Sundown Salute this year was the JC Has Singing Talent competition. The finals were held on the concert stage in downtown Junction City Friday evening.

According to the Geary County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, the winners included Justin Black in the Adult category, Rebekah Vega in the Teen division, and Elliadota Ibarra in the Youth category. The winners posed on stage with CVB Director Michelle Stimatze.
