Geary County Commissioners announced this week that they will self insure their county employee health insurance.

Commission Chairman Charles Stimatze provided assurance that rates will remain the same. “Everything is staying the same, the rates, the benefits, everything is staying the same.”

The governing body held their weekly meeting on Monday.

Commissioners were also informed the Health Department is providing meals to children at the Regency Mobile Home Park on Thursday’s this summer. There is some church assistance on food provided to the children.
