According to United Way Director Nicole Mahder, the Salvation Army and Westar Energy are sponsoring a give-away of fans for use in the hot summer weather.

This event will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at JC Naz Church at 1025 South Washington Street in Junction City. You need to bring a photo ID and proof of address. Those attending can obtain one fan per household. The Salvation Army banner will be set up at the door providing access to the give-away.

After Wednesday the remaining fans will be available at Hope House, right by JC Naz, and there will Food Bank will have some to distribute.  The same requirements will be in place for those locations. This is first-come first-serve until 100 fans are gone.
