Geary USD 475 has announced on their connectED web page that district staff will seek approval from the Board of Education on Tuesday to purchase the Munson property, plus its real property, including a metal building and 95 acres of wheat for $717,000. The District court process set the value of the land sans wheat and real property at approximately $3,900 per acre.

The Munson property site is north of K-18 Highway and just west of Junction City. The school district plans to build the new Junction City High School at that location.

The Board of Education will be in session at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Devin Center.
