The Kansas Highway Patrol worked two injury accidents on Friday.
In one case Caroline Amy Medina, 56, Junction City, was transported to Irwin Army Hospital at Fort Riley following a two-vehicle accident on U. S. 77 just north of Interstate 70 in Junction City.
KHP reported Medina was northbound and a vehicle driven by Tiffany Nicole Taylor, 24, Wichita was stopped at a stop sign waiting to make a left turn from I-70 onto US 77. Taylor failed to yield the right of way and pulled out in front of the vehicle driven by Medina. Medina’s Dodge passenger car struck Taylor’s Honda passenger car on the driver’s side of the vehicle. Medina’s car came to rest in the driving lane facing north, and Taylor’s car came to rest in the median facing north.
Taylor was not injured.

In the second case Nicholas Andrew Bartolae, 21, Kansas City, Kansas was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka after being injured in a two-vehicle accident on I-70 in Riley County 22 miles east of Junction City.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Bartolac was eastbound on I-70 in a Chevrolet Malibu, and a Freightliner semi-truck driven by Juan G. Gutierez Gomez, 30, Springfield, Missouri was was also eastbound in the outside lane. The Malibu driven by Bartolac ran into the rear end of the semi. The Malibu came to rest in the outside lane, while the semi driven by came to a stop on the outside shoulder. Gutierez Gomez was not injured and a passenger in the semi-truck Edward, Ortiz, 51, Brandon, Florida was not injured.
