The Ribbon Has Been Cut on FroYo Junction

The ribbon cutting ceremony for FroYo Junction in Junction City was held late Wednesday afternoon.

The new frozen yogurt shop is located at 907 West 6th Street and offers up 18 different flavors of frozen yogurt IMG_8286and over 54 toppings.

“It’s weigh and pay so you can create your own frozen dessert and enjoy it in a very fun and friendly environment in Junction City,” Kendall Schoenrock, Co-owner, explained.

FroYo Junction has been open for a few weeks now and Schoenrock said that opening up while it was still cold outside gave him the opportunity to iron out some of the kinks,”So that we really had the entire business mastered in terms of a quality perspective from a customers side, before we really launched here in March.”

A grand opening event is scheduled for Saturday and the store will be opening at 11:00 a.m. and stay open until 10:00 p.m. or 11:00 p.m..

The business has more to offer than just frozen yogurt Schoenrock said.

“We do have a party room, an event space in the back. We have already hosted a number of birthday party’s and it’s ideal for family readiness groups and different events.”

The interior of FroYo Junction was designed to feel open and invite people in to stay for a long period of time.

“We’re actively looking for anything from book clubs, to language groups, to different organizations to come and utilize this space as a community center.”

Schoenrock explained that the business created about 15 jobs and over the summer they can potentially have more.

FroYo Junction is open Monday through Thursday noon to 9 p.m., Friday through Saturday noon to 10 p.m. and Sundays noon to 9 p.m. but those might change come summer.
