State Representative Allan Rothlisberg of Grandview Plaza is still pushing for a hearing before the Kansas House Federal and State Affairs Committee.

Rothlisberg has two bills which would essentially have Geary County designated as a future zone for a state-owned casino.
Prior to the beginning of the legislative Rothlisberg had anticipated there would be a hearing before the committee in February, but so far none has been scheduled. He said he has been talking with the Committee chairman every day. “We’re also on another committee on Commerce and I’m after him all the time. All I can tell you is I’m hounding him.”
When asked if felt he would still get the hearing, Rothlisberg stated, “If I have to tell the Speaker to put a little pressure on him I’m gonna do my best.” Rothlisberg added he is still battling for it.
