Junction City police arrested three people and confiscated approximately 22 pounds of marijuana following a traffic stop on Interstate 70 Tuesday.
Police Chief Tim Brown said the Department’s K9 unit made a traffic stop on I-70. “And ended up arresting three individuals, two 20-year old’s and a 21-year old, all from Kentucky, were found to be in possession of some 22 pounds of marijuana…high grade.
Brown noted the Police Department has an interlocal agreement with the Sheriff’s Office, and are part of a task force that includes Sheriff’s and Police Department authorities that do interdiction on the Interstate.
According to authorities those arrested on suspicion of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, No Drug Tax Stamp, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia include Nicholas Jeter, 21, Cody L. Evridge, 20, and Owen C. Driver, 20, all from the state of Kentucky.
