A Junction City man, Wilmer Baquero, 42, was taken to Geary Community Hospital for treatment of a possible injury following a two vehicle accident on I-70 in Riley County Sunday.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said Baquero was eastbound on the interstate  in a Chrysler Charter when a Crown Victoria driven by James Wilkins, 54, Manhattan lost control and slid in front of  him, resulting in a collision. Baquero’s vehicle slid to the south and struck a KDOT delineator post, and came to rest in the center median.

Wilkins was not injured.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
