You can grow your beard for United Way in Junction City and Geary County.

The director of the United Way in Geary County, Aileen Cray, said it was an idea generated by a group of men in the community, “see what kind of great beards and mustaches, all kinds of fun facial hair they could come up with.”

You can register online by emailing your name and a starting point photo on or after Nov. 1 to scott@cardinalins.com. You send in a $25 or more donation to United Way, Box 567, Junction City, KS 66441.   The end of the contest is Dec. 1.

Winner categories are Best Beard, Worst Beard, and Most Creative Beard.
