An early Saturday morning shooting resulted in the transport of a 25-year old Fort Riley soldier to Stormont Vail Regional Medical Center in Topeka with what police believed was a non-life threatening wound.
Junction City Police Chief Tim Brown said Anthony Page, 25, Fort Riley suffered a gunshot wound to the right hip in an after hours club at 805 grant Avenue called “The Factory.” “Apparently some kind of disturbance occurred in the bar. ”
Brown indicated police believe through their investigation that Page was a bystander and “caught a bullet during this argument.” The police chief confirmed there are no leads to go on at the present time, but detectives are “actively working the case.”
Brown confirmed Page was shot with a handgun.
