The Anthony Radke Memorial Benefit Poker Run is Saturday in Junction City.
Anthony Radke, 33, of Junction City was killed August 10th in a car accident while on his way to work. He left behind a wife and five young children.
Nikki Londeen, Owner of The Devil’s Tale in Junction City explained that she knows members of Radke’s family and felt that they could do something to help.
” When Anthony passed away he didn’t have any life insurance. He was the soul supporter of his family, his wife had gone back to school to finish up her degree and they had five kids. We knew that just basically trying to help them get through their daily routine and have the money to do so was a pretty big deal,” Londeen said.
Registration for the poker run begins at 11 a.m. at the Devil’s Tail located at 213 E. 8th Street. With the number of participants Londeen is expecting they decided to split the run into two groups with the first group taking off at noon and the second at 1 p.m. from the bar.
There will be five stops with the first being at the Men’s Motorcycle clubhouse in Grandview Plaza. The second will be at the Lumberyard in Chapman. Third stop will be at R Bar in Enterprise. Stop four will be at Ike’s Place in Abilene and then the riders will return to The Devil’s Tail for the fifth and final stop.
Following the ride a meal will be provided starting at 6 p.m. for a suggested donation. A silent auction will be held from 4-10 p.m. and live music will be offered starting at 9 p.m. courtesy of Waffle Stomp, cover charge by donation. All proceeds from the benefit will be given to the Radke family for his burial and to help pay for their day to day living expense.
